This is my DIY Q1 UMPC case. From Body Glove to a case for a UMPC. Bought it from Best Buy what a perfect size for my Q1. So of to the work shop and converted it to a perfect case for my Q1. Its well paded cover protects the Q1. I left a couple of cd plastic holder to use it as pockets. I used extra subwoofer cover to line the holder. Looks OEM, I have to say.

I Just wanted to share this action shot from my work. I was able to do a Power point presentation using my Q1. It worked flawlesssly with the HP over head projector and I was also able to grab the Q1 and hold it during the presentation. Everybody was asking me what kind of device was it because it was the first time i brought the device to work. For all the people who has been asking what is the UMPC for, this is one of its uses and many more....

My UMPC is Samsung Q1, With an Intel celeron M ULV (900MHz), 512MB DDR2, 7" WGA Touch Screen LCD (800x480), stereo speaker and SRS sound, 40 GB hard drive, 10/100 Ethernet, 802.11 b/g, bluetooth 2.0, AVS NOW (multimedia instant on), 2 USB, 1 TYPE II CF Card, H/P Jack,VGA , DC-in, 3-cell battery (3hrs.) and 1.7 lbs. I use it at home to watch recorded movies from my network while its connected via bluetooth to my souround system. I use it in my car for multimedia apps. and GPS via Street and Trips 2006 and CF GPS from HaiCom. Also connected wirelessly to my cd deck via bluetooth and FM transmitter. At work i use it to write my notes for patients. Of all the gadget that I have, the Q1 is the most versatile and the most useful. Prior to my Q1 i bought a Sony vaio SZ 120P laptop and even with a centrino duo in it, I still regret getting it. If i only knew before hand that they'recoming out with this form factor, I would not have bought the laptop. If you are going to buy a PC, I highly recommend you to consider the UMPC form factor.

Today i saw a lot of car pc set up or carputer. I just hope they all find out that there is a better solution to all their wiring problems and other setup dilemmas. God thanks for UMPC! That's my samsung Q1. Fits perfect on my dash ryt?

This is my Samsung Q1. Bought it from CDW for $1,100 and an additional $160 for a 3yr extended warranty. It's worth it! I'm a gadget freak with a lot of do it yourself attitude. I was able to install this baby on my 325 Xi with Bluetooth connection and FM transmitter because didn’t want any wire connection on it except the power cable.
